1 CAMERA VS 2 CAMERAS
Camera Options:
Should you choose one video camera or two for your wedding?
Having the richness of footage from a variety of perspectives that includes an assortment of shots will enable a professional editor the ability to craft a beautiful memory of your wedding and the loved ones who surround you. For example, alternating shots of the bride and groom mixed with close-up shots of your hands while exchanging rings with quick glimpses of your facial expressions makes for a wonderful and tender view of your wedding. Adding in a shot of mom and dad at the right moment is often very moving. All of this is possible with two camera coverage of your wedding.
Single camera coverage is quite restricted because the videographer must be much more conservative while shooting. The cameraman will usually stay focused on the bride and groom using slow pans and zooming techniques. With one camera you will still receive a nice video, however the breadth and scope will be significantly different.
When looking for a videographer, ask to see their samples of one camera and two camera coverage. The difference is especially noticeable for your ceremony. Most couples seem to choose two camera coverage for their ceremony and a single camera for their reception. Price is a factor so check out their packages.
